The Yosemite View Lodge in El Portal, CA provides luxury accommodations just steps away from the entrance to the national park. Cedar Lodge
Friendly, affordable Cedar Lodge is the family choice for accommodations nearest Yosemite Valley. You’ll find unique touches like whimsical carved bears throughout the Cedar Lodge property and the children will enjoy hunting for them using the Kid’s Guide to Cedar Lodge provided at the front desk.
The Cedar Lodge near Yosemite Valley has indoor and outdoor swimming pools and spas, picnic tables, a river walk with gazebos and a private sandy beach on the wild and scenic Merced River. This is a great spot from which to watch rafts pass on whitewater trips in spring and early summer.
The lodge’s large multi-use reception and meeting room is one of the Yosemite area’s largest wedding reception sites. Two restaurants and a bar are on site.
Indian Flat Campground
There is no better way to experience the pastoral beauty of the Yosemite area than with a stay at Indian Flat Campground in El Portal. The incredible granite cliffs, waterfalls and giant sequoia groves of Yosemite National Park are just minutes away from our RV park. We offer a wide range of camping sites, a small gift shop and access to an outdoor pool.
Our Yosemite campground offers 25 RV sites with water, electric and some with sewer. We also offer 25 tent sites. Additionally, two cabins, both equipped with kitchenettes, private bath and cable TV are available.

SAVAGE’S TRADING POST
This is the site of Major James Savage’s legendary 1849 trading post. Savage was the leader of the first group of non-Indians to enter Yosemite Valley. This authentic trading post attracted prospectors, loggers and trappers during the California gold rush.
Eight extended stay homes and rooms are available. Favorites include Cliff House, the Hunters’ Retreat, the Annex, the A-Frame and the Log Cabin. Savage’s Trading Post accommodates from 2 to 16 in any given home. All homes have private access to the south fork of the Merced River and the Hite Cove Trail (excluding fire season). The Hite Cove Trail is considered to be one of California’s finest wildflower trails (March to May). Savage’s Trading Post is 18 minutes west of Yosemite National Park (CA 140).
CEDAR LODGE
The Cedar Lodge’s highly sought “Master Suite” is a two-story vacation home that accommodates up to 14. It features a private swimming pool and celebration garden, ideal for weddings and family reunions. Additionally, two, three-bedroom apartments are offered at Cedar Lodge.
Situated along the wild and scenic Merced River, the Cedar Lodge is known as the family getaway among Yosemite Resorts. It has a private beach, river walk, many carved whimsical wooden bears, picnic and celebration gazebos, and is close to the Merced River whitewater rafting put-in. Cedar Lodge is 13 minutes west of Yosemite National Park (CA 140).
